| A poor performance all round from MR Silverwood not helped by Saint Steve Ganson as the video ref and two inept linesmen who see jack . The sending off was the game breaker and we did brilliant to hold on for so long, the final decision kinda typified his whole game when with 40 plus seconds left he gives Saints head and feed when Aiton gets the ball smashed at him with his back turned. The constant lying on and the latitude he gave Saints with the offside rule was ridiculous, if I didn't know any better I would think he had money on an away win

| Quote: GARFORTH LAD "I believe Mr Silverwood is a Leeds fan, that's good news!!! as I dread to think how many 50/50 calls we would have had tonight otherwise. Lets hope we have the pleasure of his company again in the play offs? or will he be dropped like players who have a poor game? At least he made the night for Phil Clarke and the rest of the impartial team on Sky, and also he will have cheered up Eamon McManus, as they will now likely have the Hub Cap to put in the empty trophy cabinet. Can't wait till we meet again in the play offs!!!

982.jpg [quote:1pqtnbtj]Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.[/quote:1pqtnbtj]

| People need to realise that making contact with the shoulder is not necessarily a shoulder charge. Every great tackle should make first contact with the shoulder. Last night's tackle was not a shoulder charge.
Moon made contact with the head of Percival which was a clear penalty (missed by Silverwood), and probably a red card though a fairly harsh one.

| I also cannot understand the classification of Moons challenge as a shoulder charge, it was nothing of the sort.
It was contact with the head, and a red card is effectively a subjective call based on whether you believe it was intentional or accidental. On that basis it does seem harsh to be a straight red and not yet another and much more frequently seen on report incident.
Silverwood was at least consistent in his PTB rulings last night; horribly slow, which has been a feature of his refereeing this season.
The difference in penalty counts in each half is an interesting observation, 13 penalties 1st half and 2 2nd half. Did Silverwood receive assessor instructions to referee differently after half time? It certainly worked against Leeds who would have welcomed opportunities to take the 2 second half.

Dorn must have done that 10 times at Wembley.
On every occasion he was told to get up and play the ball. instead of being penalised in possession.
