| Quote Old Feller="Old Feller"Headingley to Langtree Park 67 miles, 75 minutes travelling time at least.'"
I understand that there are some people who just can't afford to go to games that far away from them, but that isn't really an excuse for not being able to sell 8k tickets, an allocation that is measly compared to others. For example, both Hull and Sheffield took around 30000 each (possibly more) to Wembley last (football) season for the FA Cup semi final (179 miles and 156 miles respectively) and neither of those towns (especially the former) are particularly wealthy.

A terrible comparison.

| Meh, Its quality over quantity.
Always a better atmosphere from the Leeds fans who make the effort, a la goons at sHuddersfield the other year.
Each to their own.

| You know what? I think people are just sick of the frequent poor performances. If we were a poor team we'd accept it, but we aren't. We should be top of the table. We should be going into this Semi full of optimism, but we aren't because we are underachieving and playing beneath ourselves. This is why we aren't snapping tickets up, we are disilusioned.
I have a ticket and I'm confident that we will win the game but I can completely understand why others are not attending.

Whilst some weight with the disillusioned argument, there is also just the fact that people can't be ar$ed regardless of current form of travelling over to St Helens for a half 2 kick off when they can just watch it on tv. Had it been held at Hudds then the number of Leeds fans would be higher I reckon, regardless of form.

simple as that really.most fans just don't hold the CC in the same regard as the past and it has slipped a way behind the GF in priority.I know we have had this debate many times but that is just the way it is.I remember the days when most CC semi finals got 20K plus regular but those days seem to be long gone.Still, the final seems to still get healthy enough crowds.

| I've got out of the habit of going to away games. Partly because of cost, partly because of the time it takes to get there and back. I know this is during the day which will be easier travel wise but with most being on a night and travel being horrible on the M62 and other roads I've got out of going.
If it's on tv I probably won't go, especially if it's not nearby.

It's not just the value of the cup but the Season ticket thing as well. 20 years ago we had an average of around 9,500 for the league games......nowadays it's nearly 5,500 more. I think most people will only attend a certain amount of games a year. Whereas it was easier to miss a few league games and save yourself for the cup games, it's now the other way round.
Add to the fact that so many of the games featuring Leeds are on tv and you can watch on a nice big tv from all angles from the comfort of your settee compared to the tv quality (and amount of games on show) from yesteryear......then why travel when you can see all the action for free?
I mean before the start of the year it was pretty much a guarantee that 3 of the 5 trips over the Pennines would be on Sky (Wigan, Saints and Wire......as it turned out so was the Salford one). With the Cas, Hudds and Wakey away games on tv too then you can catch pretty much all of Leeds' games on tv this year or through a ST. I mean so far this year if you do only have a ST and Sky but not travel then you'll have missed only 3 games in total in the league (HKR, Bradford and Widnes away..... 4 if you include Wakey in the cup). That means that of the 26 games we've played so far this year, you could've seen 22 of them with a ST and Sky subscription. Add that the Warrington game and potential CC final will be televised, also the Saints and Wigan games in the league will definitely be aired as well as any playoff game then before the playoffs start that's potentially 26 out of 32 you can view from those two methods.......when you've seen such a large chunk then does paying extra to see it in the flesh instead of the tv make much sense unless it's the Final?

| In answer to the OP, yes you can pay on the day & the Saints ticket office opens at 10am. Ticket prices go up by £2 on Saturday.

| 2 points off the top of the table, 2nd best points difference, and people bitching about the team. I don't miss that.
