IMHO Leeds save their best moves and their best tactics for the bigger more important games.

With the current structure why show all of your cards during meaningless fixtures?

I think we will see a bit more structure and guile this weekend.

Pity you didn't apply this logic to yourself before posting so many negative comments

Quote: FlexWheeler "After 15 minutes I thought ''here we go'', because we had battered warrington's line repeatedly and only had a 2 point lead. But thanks to some Hall brilliance we got a cushion and never looked back.'"

Leeds totally dominated Warrington with excellent line speed and many of the their errors were a result of our fast and effective defense. Credit to Brain Mac for a good game plan and preparation for this match.

The thanks was due not just to Hall's brilliance was it? Our pack created the platform and along with some excellent kicks by Mags and Burrow we also dominated field position. Hall's first try came from a very good cut out pass from Mags and class centre play from Moon before his own brilliant finish.

Hall's second try was a walk in due to again a superb pass from McGuire after a great kick return from Hardaker which was taken on quickly by Burrow and JP.

Moon's try was the result of dominant approach play from Ablett, JP and Burrow to create the field position and then another superbly timed pass from McGuire and a classy finish from Moon

There were other notable times when the players showed great team spirit and a will to win for example when Ablett streaked back to make a try saving tackle and Briscoe despite being in a run of poor form showed his class with an individual well taken try. In other words this was an excellent all round team performance which shows our players and coach are very much in with a chance of winning the double (even the treble)

Quote: FlexWheeler "We are well and truly in crunch time for the season now, with a CC final and playoff all coming up in a matter of weeks.'"

Yes and isn't it wonderful? To make it to these "crunch times" is every teams ambition and here we are once again in there with a great chance.

Perhaps you could give some credit to the players and coach for once.

Quote: FlexWheeler "Leeds have poor attacking structure. Cas, as good as they are in attack are not renowned for great defence yet leeds were continually reduced to either kicks to the corner or floated passes wide to the likes of ablett, moon or Watkins. Too often leeds were going sideways. There isn't the movement or shape off the ball to create indecision. Some of the play may look kinda pretty but cas were able to number up comfortably. 3 tries came from kicks, including lucky rebounds and 50/50 offloads.

Leeds defence is not as good as people are making it out to be. People are dining out on the against column in the league (a lot of which was kept down early season) but last night cas were splitting leeds defence left right and centre. There were breaks/halfbreaks and gaps down the middle, on the fringes, everywhere. Once again last gasp defence was able to save tries, resulting in ''only'' 24 points being conceded (remember leeds average of 8 points a game early season?).

I don't think as it stands leeds have the team structure to win a trophy this season. The attack is relying on individual plays too often and the defence is being split open often in midfield and is relying on scrambling defence.

Cas will win the CC and Wigan will retain the title.'"

In my original post I predicted cas to win the CC and wigan to win the grand final. Both of those are still very much on. Especially cas.

Of course the original thread title ''BIG PROBLEMS'' was sensationlist, bradford and london have big problems. But alot of the issues raised may still stand. Warrington were very poor in the first half on saturday and leeds were impressive. Fair play, they stepped up the game. Most notably the agressive defence and line speed and the general lack of penalties or handling errors in our own half.

After 15 minutes I thought ''here we go'', because we had battered warrington's line repeatedly and only had a 2 point lead. But thanks to some Hall brilliance we got a cushion and never looked back.

You won't get much argument about number 1 from fans of other clubs icon_biggrin.gif
