Despite what's been said I'm afraid Sir Kev cost us the game, the reaction was so out of character given his 14 year career and the fact as our main go to player over that period he is subject to special attention from all opposition but during that period he's just got up and gone on with the game. The incident gave the impetus that Cas needed at that point in the game as I genuinely believe that we would hold them out and possibly score again had he remained on the pitch. All that said I have nothing but admiration for Kev and as someone has already commented he has given the Club and the fans extra really special moments than most clubs could only dream of, the guy is an absolute star and a RL legend a title not many players in the modern game can claim. My only hope is that the RL look favourably on his offence by taking into account his 14 year career and give him no more than a two game ban anything more than that would be hard on a truly great player who simply had a moment of madness which clearly he regrets.

As a neutral (Wire) I think he got what he deserved. Any more would have been unfair, and any less the same. His exemplary past record has to be taken into account, just like any other disciplinary 'court'. He has been an undoubted ambassador for the game for ages. You cant crucify the guy for 1 brain fart in a career that's spanned how many years??
On the other side though, if he had got more I probably wouldn't be too upset either, as he couldn't face us in the semi. He is a born leader and motivator, and I think he'll be a major force in that game.
