Quote: BackrowSaint "For me everything was fine up to the point of the grounding. I can see why the penalty was given though, there's a push from Briscoe which isn't allowed but personally I wouldn't have given a penalty for it.
The grounding is another matter though, I'd liked to have seen it from the corner camera but from the angles we saw I don't think it was grounded anyway. It looked as if his hand grazed the ball and fell to the side, bouncing the ball and knocking it on in the process.
Shame really as it would have been an absolutely cracking try if given, but the penalty call was 50/50 and I don't think it was grounded.'"
The one thing about the VR is they seem to be slowing the replays down to a ridiculously slow speed and it makes a big difference. When you play at full speed like the Bailey try it offers a different story.
If you play the Briscoe push incident at full speed I think you could say it's ok......if he looked close enough they'll have been a push or two when everyone ran towards the kick.
Like yourself I'm wasn't convinced about the grounding and could've done with another angle on that IF he ended up needing to go that far.
