Where was that level of play throughout his career though?'"
It probably in rugby skill terms the highlight skill of his career.
But which other props have offered something on that level which is so glittering? They are freak moments. To cherish. Out of it all i thought the slick, well thought timed offload to McGuire was the cherry on the cake. You could easily get caught up in the moment...
The angled run to burst the line, the fends, the step, the speed, the pass. (I'm done)'"
You shouldn't let your deep feelings of love for Bailey influence your posts.
The run was good, but every dog has its day.

| When Barrie retired, Bailey came out saying he was the new enforcer in the Leeds pack, but his game didn't really step up that level. For me, he never really hit his potential. We tended to see some of his best stuff when in the last year of his contract, but it didn't happen often enough. At times when we needed him to step up and drag us up the field, he couldn't do it. It's a shame because at the start he promised so much. He'll certainly go down in Leeds folklore, but looking to the future, he's not needed. Would prefer, for his sake, to see him go now when he can still do a job for someone else, than sit around playing a bit part.

Mac said after the event that you probably won't see another prop do that again for some time.
He was right.

| That's because he isn't a prop. Only by name.

| The current Rhinos management dont seem to hold the same views as some of the pposters on this thread and the club tend not to off load their veteran players as they approach the end of their careers but rather seem to find some way of rewarding past successes and achievements.

Or get rid just after their testimonial year! A la diskin.
Out of the two would rather see kirke go end of this year then filter out bailey end of 2015
