Sutcliffe took over at stand off (in a team that was already beaten) & showed some promise...............lets face it Danny is a spent force (both in attack & defence). We need to give Sutcliffe an extended run at No. 6 to give him chance to prove that he is good enough (rather than in & out of the team like he has been for too long).
As soon as Robbie Burrows is back, he should be an automatic choice at scrum half & get Sir Kevin back into the pack (where he should be) !

I thought he lost it when on a previous thread he asks for more grunt from the forwards then goes and says Sinfield should move back to the pack.

I watched the first half and then called it quits. Thats the first time in over 45 years which tells you everything you need to know about that game imho.

Possibly incorrect, but I wouldn't be surprised if a number of players - McGuire included - are more focused on the Cup game than many would credit. They've never won it. Its not unhear of for a player to realise it isn't going to be their day and back off with a view to saving themselves for the next week. A very silly thing to do IMO - playing half-heartedly tends to attract exactly the sort of injuries players are trying to avoid - but we've all seen it.
