| Interesting to see what Peter Smith is saying on Twitter. According to him McDermott wants a 9 that passes well and is a tough defender. Is Aiton that man?

| I don't get how people say McShane never got a fair chance at Leeds.
63 appearances, over five seasons, under two different coaches and still wasn't able to do enough to command a regular first team place.
That he wasn't able to convert his opportunities into more is his problem.
No doubt he'll end up at a bottom half SL club where he'll plod along for a while.

Agree 100%, he had many a chance to impress, but he didn't.

| The curse of Buderus
Both his protégés released whilst under contract and with no fee coming in for them.... Which seems the Leeds way recently.
Should have pushed the boat out to get Lunt when we had a more than realistic chance

| I did tell you on here about four years (it maybe five) that McShane would never make it. Then there was the other one, Kettlewell.
I see he is ripping it up as well.

Defensively yes, he is solid, hits hard and has a high work rate. He's also got a good engine and is quick out of dummy half but his distribution is probably his weakest suit and is ok at best.

| I assume he has another club lined up? If this had happened this time last year Im sure we would have been in for him after his excellent loan spell. I suspect that moment is past now so I assume he will be heading for Wakefield or Bradford maybe? Cant speak too highly of his spell with us where I guess he had more freedom to do his own thing. He seems not to fit into the more structured game at Leeds. Hope he gets sorted!

Interesting that, considering the man he mainly played at hooker last year can't pass for toffee, and can't defend down the middle.
And in response, no IMO Aiton ain't that man.

| Finds himself on the transfer list, rather than released.
