How can he direct play when everything goes through sinfield and is told to just tackle and pass? Imo he is one of our smartest players but I don't know if he's got an 80 minute engine and would be better off at another team where he can play more regularly

| It is a damn shame neither McShane nor Hood have been given a fair crack of the whip owing to the insistence of having to include Burrow in the important hooking role. McShane probably does not have the 80min engine, but sharing the role with Hood each match might have been the answer. ... We will never know now.
The club should do the decent thing and let the lad move on where he will be trusted in the role. It IS obvious McDermott is here to stay and McShane will never get a equal chance to cement a place in the 17. He needs to find Kirke's secret forthwith  |
