Quote: craigizzard "What with Westwood's second try, nobody has mentioned Westwood's first try, which confused me.
Westwood was stopped by another superb Hardaker tackle, put the ball down short of the line, picked it up again and plonked it over. At no point did the ball-carrying arm hit the floor, but the ball did.
Cummings on the commentary said that it's the ball-carrying arm that has to hit the floor for it to be a double-movement. but 1) is this correct? 2) if it is correct then why? He grounds the ball in a completed tackle then re-grounds it further on, there's no substantive difference to double movement.'"
Yep, I thought he said if the ball touches the ground it's tackle complete, and it did. Dodgy play the ball for the Grix try too. Also there is a Warrington player in the tackle for Westwoods second preventing Hall from getting in and securing the ball which the V.R. took no notice of but Cummings alluded to.
Yeah maybe we got some poor calls but I really don't get the impression Leeds were really that desperate to win. Once the score drifted Leeds played for fun. Should we get past Saint's I think we will see a different mentality from Leeds.
