Yep they generally train on the pitch next to the car park (not the 3G one) so you can watch from there. They generally don't mind people watching as there are often games on the 3G pitch so they get people from those games watching them training.
I remember being at Morrisons the week before the 04 grand final and seeing plenty of people stood in the car park watching the team train. Graham Murray was even there watching too.
Did I hear right that the Melbourne/Fax training session is no longer behind closed doors either and its £2.50 to go and watch?
