Those days were pretty different generally as was the game and in particular player preparation or rather the lack of preparation. Yes I was at that game too and saw those trie's.I remember most of all after the game Billy Boston come across from his wing to shake hands with a young 17 year old Delmos Hodgkinson.I was just turned 10 years old and the crowd was so large they moved us kids from the old dressing room corner to sit on the straw in front of the southstand.When I think of that game I wish I could have been a bit older so I could appreciate and remember more about it.I enjoyed reading that thread about the 50 odd years ago games on yours.I would have made a few contributions,but your resident Gauliter wont let me on
