The only way to stop these idiots incharge of are great game following the ozzys and banning this great hit as we no it , is for the players themselves to go on strike , they would soon wake up and smell the coffee then , its a complete joke to make are game softer ,if are players wanted to play softer rugby they would go play union and get (payed more) , if this ban comes in over here, the game isnt worth watching , as every player will be trying not to make contact with shoulder so being very carefull in collision , it a joke , no player wants it so who are they protecting , players should strike !

While it may not be directly related to the shoulder charge per se, I see that the Bulls have today announced that their outstanding young player John Bateman will miss the start of the season due to shoulder surgery.
With the calls from some posters on here for young forwards to be blooded early eg Singleton, Smith, maybe our club is wise not to expose them to the rigours of SL until their bodies can take it.
Compare the longevity of Peacock to that of his erstwhile teammate Fielden who played from a much younger age.
I look at Sam Burgess who was playing in a very physical manner from the age of 17 or 18 but who now, still in his early 20s , seems to spend much of his time recovering from injury or surgery rather than playing.
