I lived in Scarborough for 10 years.

'Poxy' is quite a good description, as is 's***hole'.

The problem with Scarborough (& Filey) is the people (generally). Such a high percentage of one-eyes, chavs and a-holes.

A night out in Scarborough is like something from Roadhouse.

Then there's the borough council who do their very best to go against public opinion and screw the locals over. The demise of the football club and the recent supermarket bid being just a couple of examples.

Nice place to visit (for a day) though.

I also have happy memories of Scarborough,and I love the town,but less than a year ago they were really making a big effort to claim Savile as their own Jimmy.great tourist attraction etc.All this scandal is disgusting,but we are seeing so much of now it reminds of a certain statement made about eleven years ago"its a good day to bury bad news"
