For me its a bit of both however I think the coach is more responsible some of his tactics have been shocking with regards use of subs or not as the case may be and the insistance of playing the same flogged players week in week out when we have sum undoubtedly talented youngsters at the club chomping at the bit for invaluable game time its baffling at times

And as i said on another thread today I dont think the players take much notice of the current coaching regime we were down to 2 subs after losing Kirke and Delaney and Hood was stood on the side line 3 times trying to get on and whoever he was to replace just refused to give way I personally seen Ablett refuse to come off when Chris Plume told him too as they were stood behind the sticks waitin for Brough to add another 2 points to the thirty odd they already had at that point so for me Mcdermotts at fault as I dont think he demands the respect needed to be Head Coach of any team

to leeds owl you forgot Wakie they even put 40 past us this season I know we beat them but only by 4 points and that was at HQ

Quote: craigizzard "Watkins is making 20+ tackles a match defending as a second row because our entire defensive line is unbalanced by how we use our hooker.'"

That's very true but luckily for our right side defence Burrow defends on the left, which yesterday was unlucky for Keinhorst as he was called on to make or at least attempt to make 40+ tackles.

Quote: batleyrhino "This year we face an in form Wildcats team on a 7 game winning run, and then a trip to either Catalans or Wigan, both of which are infinitely harder than the week 2 game from last year.'"

That's not correct should Catalans beat Wigan...in that scenario (and if we made it past Wakefield) we would go to the loser of Warrington v St Helens

Either way not confident.
TBH I am not looking past Wakey. In a good run of form, we are not and they are capable of beating us on the day.

Yes, but part of BOTH centres' increased workload is down to the absence of the extra defender in the middle squeezing them both in, rather than just which of them the hooker stands outside.

I don't think we're at odds here. Over-loading the inexperienced Keinhorst/Burrow combination was a no brainer as it would also lesson the threat posed by Burrow out of acting half once Hood had played his debut starting cameo.

How desperate must the CEO have been to secure a starting hooker when he knew he'd be unavailable in potentially key matches down the line. An admission of 'oops I've f[i**ke[/id up here' in releasing Diskin then Buderus without confidence in the line of succession... perhaps.
