Quote: tad rhino "after attending every final since 92 today will be my last. i'm sick to death of coming away having had the game spoilt by drunken, foulmouth people who insist on spoiling it for everyone else.
i witnessed it all today. fighting, beer throwing the lot.
4 twentysomething leeds fans behind me spilt pint after pint, smoked, never stopped swearing from start to finish and generally were absolute pricks.
one other leeds fan was threatened when he had words and i had to step in and tell them in no uncertain words to behave or else.
its every big game you go to nowadays. internationals or finals and i've had enough.
speaking to people around me, not only leeds fans but mainly rhinos, and they felt the same.
decent people like to have a pint and watch the game but something needs to be done. at least at football its controlled. even if leeds get there next year i won't go. my grandson is nearly 2 and in time i would loved to have taken him to wembley but i wouldn't subject him to what is regularly taking place inside grounds'"
Join the club, 2006 is the last final I went to and I don't see the point in paying a lot of money and going to a lot of trouble to travel to London, Cardiff etc just to end up watching the game surrounded by the sort of people that you'd actually avoid by a long distance if you only could - and worse still , having stewards who are unwilling or incapable of controlling such behaviour.
The smart answer is that you should pay more money, but I'm not willing to pay getting on for £100 to guarantee a seat where my neighbours can control their aggression - not when I have a much better and far more civilised view on my own TV set in my own house = or even at any of my local pubs where at least the landlord will have a word with anyone who steps out of line.
