I find this an increasingly bizzare view. Why should player signings be down to the coach? A man who normally doesnt last longer than 3 seasons? A coaches view is a short term one whereas a dof or ceo takes a much longer term view as they are designed to stay longer. There are notable exceptions but in reality a coach should only be one voice in the buying and selling process.
