A pre-season fitness regime is exactly what he needs at this stage of his rehab, so this makes perfect sense. Still remain to be convinced he can get back to a standard where he can be effective for either Rhinos or Carnegie.

He'd be perfectly fine for Carnegie in the shockingly bad league they're in and unlikely to ever get out of. I reckon the Lost Loiners would do alright in that league.

No he wouldn't. The fiction that the gap in defensive quality is still as huge as it was 10 years ago makes us all happy and feel warm inside, but I'm afraid while League players still generally (in my humble opinion) do the core skills slightly better on average, there isn't the differnece there once was at the top level.
But the division Carnegie are in is virtually pub league stuff, so he'd do alright there. |

So it's not out of the question that he could return for the Rhinos then as that's about the standard Leeds are heading towards under McDermott. |
