Leeds should make Lunt a permanent signing which solves the problem of having to accommodate the ordinary McShane who is a championship club player at best. I like Lunt - seen a lot of him at Huddersfield and he didn't look out of place at international level against the Aussies in 2010 down under when the England squad made some amends for the disastrous and embarrassing 2008 World Cup efforts under Tony Smith.

Lunt was absolutely superb last night. Right from the start of warm up.

Based on his ability to maintain the standard he set against Les Catalans the much needed replacement for Buderus has now arrived. Hetherington is one lucky bugger.

Burrow (when he returns - which shouldn't be for three or four weeks) should fit back in on the bench where he excelled for Leeds late last season.

Very lucky considering his official statement to the effect that Buderus will only be allowed to leave the club if a replacement of equal or better quality is made available to the club instead. I'm not aware of any player from Newcastle or anywhere else in Australia being made available to the club to sign since Buderus left and that statement was made.

So yes, with the signing of Lunt, Hetherington has avoided a few potential bullets that may have headed his way later on in the season.

I thought this, he took charge a lot as well, you could seen him ordering the forwards about and pinpointing which defenders to get at. Thought he used the blind-side brilliantly, just highlighting his all round awareness.

Great debut performance from Lunt although i'll wait a good few more apperances before branding somebody who couldn't get into the Huddersfield team 'World Class'.
