Quote batleyrhino="batleyrhino"Absolutely bang on DAO. We failed to set the platform with the front row, the AHB didn't dictate play, and as a result we were a "ragtag and bobtail" outfit, simply throwing the ball around to try to find a gap in a well marshalled defence.
This is the same as the way we started last year, not the same as we finished it.
It's only round 2 and we shouldn't panic, but we do need to adjust our playing style to the one we know works rather than the one we know doesn't.'"
agreed no need to panic and there are alternatives. One of our strengths last year was the players never paniced and remained focused and it came right in the end.
the fundamental difference this year is we have lost a vital ingredient and choice at AHB which the club have chosen not to seek a replacment from from outside.
One thing BM has earned is the right to expect some patience from us but to select an out and out hooker and not play him from the bench at some stage is hard to understand.
I am rather hoping that at this early stage with one win from 2 games and a huge WCC decider next week its that BM is playing his cards close to his chest so has not to expose his game plan to the aussies.
If next week we have 2 points and a WCC trophy in the bag we will all be made to look daft again
