This thread got me thinking about Bushism's, amongst which are;

"I'm going to put people in my place, so when the history of this administration is written at least there's an authoritarian voice saying exactly what happened."

That got me looking at other famous gaffes.
Was particulary amused by Irish soccer commentator George Hamilton in an Ireland V Spain qualifier match. "He’s pulling him off. The Spanish manager is pulling his Captain off!”
...and in a similar vein that old Brian Johnston classic, "The bowler's Holding, the batsman's Willey" on a BBC Radio Test Match Special.

Another lad I used to work with used to come out with some beauties.He was once left in charge of the job and he said"the gaffer put me in charge and said here you lad these are the keys to Tandoori's box".Also he once said "someones been spreading secret rumours"

A guy I used to work with would say "We need to nip this in the butt"

I always like "I'm not being racist but...<something pretty racist>"

I used to hear a lot of me and I being used the wrong way round but the latest one, "for mine" is the use of Myself instead of ME.
Where did that come from? People seem to think that saying myself sounds posher........but it's wrong!
