steve is a fantastic bloke, he is originally from derby and was never into rugby league being more of a soccer fan, my old gaffer took him under his wing when he moved to rothwell and took him to wakefield games and he was bitten by the rugby league bug, when his son showed an interest in rugby league that is when he became involved at oulton and it just kicked on from there, he has between 40-60 down on a training night and they hang on his every word! i'd say 75% of the current first and second teams at oulton are made up of "rocky's giants" and some of them regard being a rocky's giant in higher esteem than playing first team!! and his stand-up routine is the stuff of legend he always gets on the mic at aways games and has everyone in stitches. his son has said himeself that if he wins the national award he hopes they don't give him the mic!!! i think personally he should be nominated for an MBE people seem to get them for a lot less than what he has done over the last 27+ years.
