Quote rhinogonemad="rhinogonemad"Its the old "everybody hates leeds" situation, nobody voted for leeds players or very few anyway, hes unfortunate that he plays for such a successful club, and we will be hated even more no we won it from fifth.
Bur Sir Kev is well worth the accolade of " Man of Steel", how he is not compared in the same light as Rangi "Im now english coz i cant get in the kiwi side" is beyond belief, just what will it take for this great to be recognised by his peers, trying not to look through the green glasses of course.
Waht did rangi do that was outstanding this year, score a great try in the semi, i have not seen enough of him live but what i have seen of him on sky this season, he couldnt lace the great ones boots.'"
I think you've taken your username too seriously.
Sir Kevin hasn't had the greatest season by his high standards, and given that the award is voted for before the Grand Final, he was never really in the running. 2005 was another story...
Rangi Chase trailed off a bit at the end of the season, but he was a one man army for the first half of the season.
I'd probably still have gone for Tomkins or Roby mind you, but this was not Sir Kevin's year.
