| Apparently a good match. Back and forth. The youth teams is one of very few positive things achieved on the field by wakey this year.
Alot of last years wakey academy are playing in reserves and even one or two still able to play academy under 18s.
As a wakey fan it's one of very few positives performance wise to be proud of this year.
Leeds, wakey, cas always have produced some of the best youngsters about.

| An enjoyable match with the lead changing sides 6 times. With only 3 minutes left Rhinos were leading 18-16 when they were awarded a penalty on the Wakefield 25. Paul McShane opted for 2 points to make the score 20-16, taking the tap would have been a better option to keep play at the Wakefield end with another 6 tackles. Wakefield produced a brilliant short restart which led to a try 5 tackles later but too far out for the conversion, 20-20 and looking like a draw. One minute left Rhinos restarted and Wakefield surged up field during the first set of six with Rhinos dropping off tackles. The ball was kept alive 30 yds out then a forward pass out to the wing, reminisent of many we have seen in Super League this season, led to Wakefield scoring in the corner. This time there was a conversion and the Wakefield lads showed their delight as the full time whistle went after the ball passed between the posts.
Rhinos threatened on numerous occasions to take a grip of the match but Wakefield kept battling back and full credit to them. There was about 300 present watching two sides give all they had.

| Sounds like a good match up. Well done to both teams for putting on a good show.
I hope we get to the final in both academy and reserves.
