Does any body know way around London.

I have booked a Hotel at Slough ( IT WAS THE CHEAPEST ) but now looking at travel from hotel to Wembley I am thinking that was not the best idea.

Is anybody else staying in or nr Slough and know the best way to the Ground, website states its 18m away but got local taxi firm to quote and that £107 !!!!

Am I best cancelling hotel paying little bit more to be a bit closer and nr to tube stations

Either:

1) Get taxi to Uxbridge, then Metropolitan line to Wembley. (Don't know what cab fare would be, but am sure less than £20)

or

2) Train from Slough to Paddington (20-30 minutes), Circle line tube (2 stops) to Baker Street, then outbound Metropolitan line to Wembley.

First option would almost certainly be quicker, the second possibly cheaper.
