I'm sick of hearing we dont have the money to go out and buy players and that's why we are looking for loans and free transfers. We've just got at least £1m for Kasper and spent £200k on Lonergan. The wages wont have gone up as we have lost Kilkenny, Johnson, Higgs and brought in Rachubka and Brown on free's. We've got O'Dea on loan for the season but he wont be on big wages. The club are turning profit's every year and have done for the past 3-4 years now.
Bates keeps saying he gives Grayson his budget and lets him get on with it and that there is money there to buy players if Larry wants to yet we never buy anyone unless we sell and make a profit like with the GK's.
Badly need a centre forward, shame that Somma is out for so long as he would of got a long run in the side but with Becchio out we need someone bringing in, Paynter is crap when fit and McCormack isn't the sort of striker to play down the middle on his own. He's the sort that needs to play off someone like Becchio.
After all this time i dont think Larry has ever known his best 11 since he joined us and it's still the case.

Howson is a decent player, but is surrounded by dross, hence at times he doesn't look as good as he is. He is a strong tackler, good passer, has good vision and has a good engine. He also has a lot of passion for the club, which is an underrated aspect these days.

He would hold his own in the Prem, but isn't about to bother the England selectors, hence the choice of word, "decent".

With only half an hour left to the transfer deadline it's looking (touch wood) like Snodgrass is staying...good job or we might be looking at a relegation fight

I think we're looking at a relegation fight with or without him. Trust me if a decent enough bid had come in for Snodgrass he'd have gone but I don't think anyone tried to buy him. Teams that were linked to him like Stoke and Fulham have been too busy trying to bring better players in. Its ok saying these players who couldn't get a look in last season are like new signings but others teams will have players like that but will have strengthened there teams bringing in new signings too!

Relegation fight? Not a chance, we've got a good nucleus of a side that can compete in the division, Gradel isn't really that much of a loss as I think Nunez can come in and do a similar job.

We've played some great stuff this year and as long as we stick to that and Grayson doesn't bottle it too soon, we should be in for a decent year.

I think if I had £20 burning a hole in my pocket I would sooner go for a bet on relegation than top six TBH.
