Does anyone agree that his progression would be helped by loaning him out (once Leeds are back to full fitness in the forwards) to say Barrow in the championship ?
His Mam's home cooking would fill him up & Mr Wright's fitness regime will keep him sharp and playing at the top end of the Championship will ease his passage into professionalisum

We could do with him, got a lot of rhino mates and they saying similar positives to what ive read about him on here! We're lacking in the forwards big time this year too!

I guess that depends where you start the list and it appears Leeds have started the list with a player that made his Leeds 1st grade debut the season before SL started. If you include Leeds Academy graduates that have played 1st Grade for Leeds (rather than made their debuts for Leeds) during the SL Era you'd have more than 50 names in your list. Of course without knowing the exact criteria it's difficult to agree, disagree or verify the claim.

I read this as a player that had come through the entire academy system (U16's, U18's and U20's) but as you say we don't really know what criteria they are applying.

I always pictured him as more of an Obi Wan Kenobi (circa New Hope) type, all wise and old and that (no offence tvoc mate).

I, too, did not understand the '50th graduate' claim. In 2004 Carl Ablett was described as the 100th player to play for Leeds in SL and the 40th from the club's academy. There have been many more than 10 since - I make Singleton the 20th since Ablett, so 60th overall. Then, reading the claim, again, I wondered if it was 50th to make their debut in SL, thereby excluding those academy products who made their debuts in the Centenary season or before (Cummins, Morley, Fozzard et al.). If so, I make Singleton the 49th graduate unless someone counts as an academy product who I've not counted (e.g. Ambler, Pitts, Amor, Coady etc.). As our expert statistician, tvoc, I thought you'd be the man to know!
