Oh dear. Had to cancel my tickets and get refund as going to New York on Wednesday. So no rugby fix for me this Christmas.

More importantly rugby league supporters across the region should be giving thanks to the Rugby Union organisation Premiership Rugby for the use of their pitch protection facilities without which the NY day fixture may even have been in doubt.

Interestingly premiership rugbys protection facilities have been in use at Newcastle Falcons....And guess what...they have also called off their boxing day fixture.
