RIP TERRY NEWTON
I'M A RHINO THROUGH & THROUGH,
BUT WOT A SAD LOSS,
THOUGHTS ARE WITH HIS WIFE & CHILDREN,
MADE A BIG MISTAKE BUT NOT WORTH THIS.
PUTS IT ALL INTO PERSPECTIVE.
A fabulous hooker who came into the game when Lowes and Cunningham were at their best and at times looked every bit as good as them. Was disappointed when he left Leeds but he was obviously going home to Wigan. Made some poor decisions but as Danny alluded to above - has he had the right, if any, support from the game? That newspaper article certainly sounded like he had been struggling.
Hope there is a minutes silence next week as IMO a minutes applause (which has been mentioned elsewhere)doesnt do justice to what is a terrible tragedy. The concern is that Saints fans will spoil it - any that do should be thrown out. This isn't about club loyalties, it's about remembering a tremendous player and giving him and his family the respect they deserve.
