Do you think the challenge was any worse than the one done by Wigan (can't remember the players now) on Eastwood?

Surprise Surprise. And of course we sure it would have been the same with any other player. Pity you don't mention the comparison to the Wigan one let off.

You're on form this week with the anti-Buderus malarky G1.
IMO never a ban - his tackling technique is to get low around the legs and normally this is fine, but as (Kylie?) who was also involved in the tackle released the player, the tackle from Buderus resulted in him spinning over. In no way malicious - not sure how a ban in this situation can be helpful. It was not something Buderus set out to do. (Unlike, say, kicking a player on the ground?)
Besides, Buderus himself was plonked on his head in the WCC and IIRC nothing came of that what-so-ever.
The inconsistency of decisions this year has been nothing short of embarrasing - but obviously nothing will be done about it.

You happy to see players lift and turn other players with hands between their legs? I am not.
Yes, I would like the Wigan player who did it banned. That he appears to have gotten away with it doesn't alter the fact that Buderus' ban is merited. Two wrongs don't make a right.
You see, that is called having a belief and applying it consistently regardless of the player involved.
HTH.

Whilst I agree that the RFL are inconsistent you prove my point. You complain that nothing was done about a spear on Buderus. So I ssume you think such tackles should be penalised. Yet you don't think Buderus' tackle should be.
You're as inconsistent as the RFL judiciary.

Nice of you to assume things I've not said.
I mearly referred to that incident to show that these 'spear tackles' go unpunished - for Buderus to get a 1 match ban for his on Sunday is, IMO, unjustified.
Still, let's see what the appeal decides.

Yes - I already knew the answer. But it was not to "bag" Diskin but rather to counter the point that Buderus had a bad game because he gave away a penalty with the point that has not been raised ie. Diskin nearly gave away the match!

I don't like the tackle either, maybe it is a ban. But lets have a level playing field ey? Buderus didn't mean to do it, its not his style. Even GH has come out and expressed his opinion about others getting away with it. I bet there has been about 20+ of these tackles this season and only one or two have been 'chosen' to punish.

So you're happy with Buderus being on the receiving end of spear tackles then?

I've already agreed that the RFL are inconsistent. However, I believe all players should be punished for these dangerous tackles. I'd be a hypocrite if I changed that belief just because it's a Leeds player on the receiving end.

Not not at all. But I fail to see the relevance between your comment and the tackle by Buderus. For a start he didn't have hands between the legs.

Quote RhinoNeilI bet there has been about 20+ of these tackles this season and only one or two have been 'chosen' to punish.'" Again, I agree the RFL are too soft and inconsistent. However I do not want them to go down the path of not dealing with this. I'd like the Wigan player to have been dealt with in the same way for sure but how does failing to punish Buderus make the game safer?
