I saw Thierry playing Boules in the centre of Leeds on Sunday at the Boules court thing near Greek Street... was tempted to make some sarcastic comment of other, but didn't... even ref's deserve time off! Mr Ganson likes a good 'ole' punch... sorry, knees up at a wedding I understand... each to their own!

With Silverwood, Bentham and Thaler being the other three appointments it looks like Wigan and Leeds have drawn the short straw or perhaps there's a perception at the RFL that it's the least competitive fixture?

I'd have appointed Ian Smith as the video referee for all nine play-off fixtures personally but at least he's got two of the opening four.

to be fair he reffed the recent warrington v saints game and handled it well
the only blot on the day was that he allowed graham to rant at him without penalising him but seeing as we're getting a reputation for moaning to the ref that might be to our advantage

handled it well??...14 penalties to 6 to the wire (thats why he probally overlooked graham moaning..he thought he'd give warrington enough already)..
