| I agree Ambler should be given a run in the team. Not convinced about Pitts yet but he's gotta be better than Kirke.
Ali has to come in. Even if he's not fully fit as has been sugegsted, without Clarkson and JJB available he will surely have play.

| Ambler deserves his spot in the team. He took his earlier chances up very well, and when dropped was far out-playing some others. Jay Pitts, even on his debut, looked like he would produce big things. The lines he runs, and the tackles he puts in, along with his speed and off-loads, he just seems too good to drop for me....but unfortunately he hasn't been hazed yet so has fallen out of favour. I wonder if Kallum might get a chance also?

Well said that man. Pitts for whatever reason has found himself out of the inner circle of 'buddies' that Kirke has apparently ingratiated himself into. I'm sure Kirke is a great lad and seems likeable....but he is far from first 17 material on the regular basis he finds himself in.
Pitts deserves the chance before Kirke (and possibly Ablett, certainly on last Saturday's performance); second only to Ambler who should be a definite starter.
Would be good to see how Watkins goes in Senior's spot....Senior is still a threat on attack but his defensive positional play is getting worse epitomised at Wembley (or is it my imagination ?).

At Wembley Senior's positioning on the left side of defence often gave Wire free yards because he was holding back and hedging as insurance against Rob Burrow getting run over. As it happened, Burrow was outstanding defensively but Senior obviously had either no confidence in him or was instructed not to commit early to his own man but to cover Burrow and allow yards but guarantee no immediate tries.

I couldn't decide if he was watching hall actually. Think the defence on that side looked a lot safer with smith in centre at the Cas game actually. And before I get shot, I'm not saying to put him there, just thought we looked tighter.

What was his excuse for all the games Burrow missed?
I mean he's done the exact same thing all season. I would suggest it's more a case of other players not having confidence in him, rather than the other way round.

Fair point. I was just addressing the Wembley reference from the previous post.

I don't think he was playing to a plan. Senior is just terrible on possitional defence and is always leaving gaps.

I don't think we will bring as big a following as in previous years or as many as we did for the CC game, the expense of last weekend, the early kick-off of 4.30pm meaning people will have to leave after lunch and it and the Saints game being on Sky goggler, I think will make for a small turn-out!
I an torn whether to make the trip or not or stay in and watch it on Sky to be honest!
