| Quote red chilli="red chilli"Nasty for Burgess tonight .
However when Carl Ablett took out Sam Tomkins with his illegal challenge you Leeds fans were chanting " Yorkshire , Yorkshire , Yorkshire", boot on the other foot now , however tonight's was an accident , still not nice though is it, maybe something to think about for you.'"
Red,
I'll be honest I havent read the rest of the threads and don't know what has already been said but the Ablett incident was a bit different. At the time I thought that he should have walked but tonights was just plain unlucky between Burgess and Walker and it seems a bit unfair that you seem to be taking the chance to gloat.
I was one of the first to wish Chev all the best (not to mention the same to all players) and would like to have hoped that you could have done the same. I feel for the lad cause now he will miss his deserved chance at Wembley but I hope he will get another.

| As a Wigan fan I didn't have an issue with the Rhino's fans singing after Tomkins was flattened by Ablett and can't really see any irony in the same fans complaining about the chants and shouts from Cas 'fans' after Burgess was flattened. The reason there's no irony is that Tomkins wasn't lying pretty much motionless on the floor requiring a neckbrace and stretcher whereas Burgess was and it was pretty obvious that it looked like a bad injury yet certain fans continued to chant and shout. Its bad enough that there are some people who behave like this but as far as I'm concerned its worse that people see nothing wrong with it, come up with ridiculous arguments in defence of this kind of behaviour or deny anything happened. I really couldn't give a rats ass if Castleford lose their licence after this, its rugby league not football and I found it sickening. As for the challenge itself it was unfortunate there was a clash of heads but I'm not convinced there's a great deal of skill involved in running at someone at full speed and there's probably not a huge difference between a shoulder and an elbow in terms of the damage they can do with momentum behind them but its within the rules.
The only irony I can see in this in relation to the incident with Ablett and Tomkins, is that 'Bluey' seems to be the only person claiming this was a foul and was also the only person claiming Ablett's wasn't. I think he's a bit muddled with rules.

What an excellent response to the muppet who started this thread, well said sir.
What I think may be useful is a definitive list of those SL players for whom it is acceptable to cheer when injured, or dead - just to make things absolutely crystal clear of course.

| Quote red chilli="red chilli"Chev ex Leeds - Bailey - thug.
Your a dirty team , my point been i wish Burgess a speedy recovery, it just shows what goes around comes around, you lot chanting when Tomkins was taken out was pathetic , Karma and all that ........'"
You start this thread with a post a little OTT but perhaps a valid point and then follow it up with this which makes you look a complete h0le.
You just lost any credibility you might have otherwise had.
Just out of interest, if Bailey's a thug how would you describe Ben Cockayne?

I'm not sure Bluey was saying last nights was a foul - more a dangerous tackle, which in many respects it was and I've posted my views about this on another thread.
Neither did I here him say Ablett's wasn't, I think he might have agreed with your own coach for the night who said it was clumsy and little more than that.
Neither were good, both could have/did cause serious injury yet I'm certain there was no intent in either of the 2 tackles

Bluey's Leeds are getting a reputation now for playing too much Thugby, its only a matter of time before every team in superleague will react to it.

And yet the disciplinary records do not show this.
I've had the same thing said to me about Leeds on several occasions and the answer is always the same - show me the evidence of this - and the fact is that Leeds do not have more players in front of the disciplinary committee than any other club in SL, which you would surely expect if they are a team of thugs ?
Could it be that your, and others, opinions are wrong ?

| No. Much simpler to just ask them to back up their dip opinions with facts - they go away then.

You're doing him a disservice offering this a sensible and well thought out response.
