why does anyone care who the favourites are?

i am reasonably confident simply because we are a much better team than last year, and despite losses to wigan at home, saints and leeds home and away, i have seen enough to know that we lifted in the majority of those games and a bounce of the ball could have made the difference in wigan (h) saints (h) leeds (h).
we can beat leeds in a final, this is a marked improvement on the last twenty years.

however leeds are leeds and the result is in the balance,

fact is we are possibly the two best teams to watch and the final should be a stunner.
