This naive representation of his life journey as a simple linear progression, by excluding any distracting subtext of colour or slavish devotion to accepted imagery, serves to disturb and challenge one's preconceptions about existential complexity whilst asserting very strongly the deep desires of the human condition.

Nah, it's rubbish. It doesn't even rhyme.

No I am rather concerned about the overall construction of the piece, the compositional aspect is very weak, it has a very disturbing feel about its whole, I'm getting a message that the artist is not revealing his inner self to us in this rather he is portraying what he thinks we want to see, he should open up more and not just go for the commercial hit, art is not about commerce and an artist with the political convictions of this one should understand this , its unforgivable really and I expect the RA to reflect this in their decline later this month.

One could say his stick man was overendowed with personality to a degree that makes it impossible to make the connection between drawing and subject.

Whilst I empathise with the pre-Warholian ethos that art is not commerce, we must take account of the confusion of money, style, fashion etc that nowadays pervades most people's lives, and hence finds its way into art, in my opinion wholly justifiably.
