I could have sat here for the next two decades and wouldn'y have remembered Mick Worrall. I also was under the impression that we won that game but, now I think about it, I do seem to remember coming away from the ground a little miffed.

The interesting thing about Worrall's appearances are the two Halifax games. Away result lost comfortably but, the home game was won by a country mile. Doesn't that tell you everything you need to know about the Leeds team of that era?

Didn't we get well and truly waxed by Widnes in the JP Trophy not long after the Halifax result?

I'm the same on both points.

Also, I had totally forgotten that Andy Goodway played for us until TVOC put the team up on the previous page.

Perhaps he could give us Goodway's Leeds stats too?

Is my mind clouded or do I recall Andy Gregory scoring against Halifax that night, possibly 2?

Good old Gibbo, a very under rated player imo.

My personal favourite was when Offiah was playing for Widnes and Gibbo stood on his leg as he slid over for try against us. Offiah then proceeded to have a hissy fit and chucked the ball at him. Very amusing.

The interception try against Cas in the local tin pot final at ER was another quality moment.
