What I actually said though is that captains should lead by example. I think you would find Webb's odd discipline indiscretions come at a point of him been last line of defence and stopping tries, rather than needless.

What he does with ball in hand however, and what he will probably be doing Saturday from half back, is organising the side.

I wouldn't class the amount of times he gives away a cheap ten metres by not being able to keep his mouth shut as "leading by example".

I'm inclined to agree with you plus how many times has he conceded a penalty in posession for lashing out or some other indiscresion to pi$$ the ref off.

I'm looking at the Opta stats now and they have Webb down for just the two penalties on Friday, with the dissent, I had him down for three. I'll have to wait to see how the totals stack up.
