BTW . give credit to the ticket office staff . they have been inundated with enquiries for tickets , so much so that they had to close the lines at one point .

Had fun trying to get through on the phone this morning at 9am. Twice waited 10 minutes to get to the front of the queue only to be told that the ticket office was closed. Got through the 3rd time though.

About the same as a rugby ball being kicked over the stand onto the cricket pitch.
I've never seen either happen.
I once saw Don Wilson hit it on to the roof of the stand but it didn't clear it.
We play Hampshire at Scarborough but doubt that KP will play in any event.

I remember seeing Andy Roberts cart Graham Stevenson all around the ground one fabulous Sunday afternoon, including a 6 into the football ground. Mind you that was up at Bradford Park Avenue.

I too have seen many sixes hit at the old Park Avenue ground over the football stand.
That's where I developed my love for cricket despite even seeing Dickie Bird make his highest ever 1st class score (181*) vs Glamorgan, not an innings containing (m)any sixes hit over the football stand.
I saw Boycott's 1st ever 1st class innings there too, in 1962, vs Pakistan, 4 in each innings.
Ah happy days.

I scored at Bradford Park Avenue

When I say "scored" I mean in a geek-like way for the Leeds cricket team, working the scoreboard and suchlike - not anything romantic, no-one could be that hard up as to try and score at Bradford Park Avenue

I obviously don't go as far back as you do. When the ball went into the football ground it was not coming back as the grass was about three foot tall in my day.

Or if there is anyone like that they'd be looking to 'score' down Lumb Lane.
