Under Mclennan Leeds have an appalling disciplinary record and, as illustrated by silly public comments by players, an appalling relationship with the referees. It seems something that Mclennan is unable to fix and is in stark contrast from how things were under Smith who made it a point never to publicly bag a referee.

Agreed - these are professional players who surely have an understanding of how a ref is going to ref the game. Whilst Silverwood gave Saints every 50/50 he did not stop them standing square, he did not stop them getting back 10 metres and he did not stop them reefing the ball out.

Standing square didn't always stop Silverwood giving a penalty against Leeds for not standing square either.
