With the funds he has had available (apparently we have the fifth-lowest player spend in the competition), to be able to bring in Orford, Kearney L'estrange, Hall - and of course Menzies - is nothing short of amazing.
Platt is doing fine in the centres now (at fullback he struggled once his confidence was shot) and Sherriffe has done much better this year after an awful 2009 (albeit with relapses). He was one of our best performers in the opening games. Worrincy went seriously backward after a great start last year, and at present the jury is still out, to put it kindly. Young Whitehead has displaced him. None of them will be major costs to the club.
