He was training with the first team at Kirkstall yesterday morning and word from the camp is that he is on the wing on Thursday.

He is mate but he said himself he was doing it as much for his kids as anything else.

Couldn't be bothered reading through 9 pages so apologies as this will no doubt of been answered somewhere. But how does he fit on the salary cap as I thought it was close to full, especially since didn't Hetherington refuse to bring back that lad from Quins as he didn't want to go over it?


Fair play for getting him back though, damn good player and as a lover of Rugby League it infuriated me that he went to kick and clap.

Maybe that is why he didn't fetch BJB back...quessing this deal wasn't just organised inside the last week.

sounds like classic contract negotiations to me. its the old 'ive loved my time at this club, but maybe its time for a change' quote from a player two weeks before they sign an extension but inverted. so in this case GH announces 'we've not myuch money left, we cant even recall our own players'. Two weeks later Lee Smith signs

Hetherington says a week ago that we would like Lee Smith on loan.

Lee Smith hears this and thinks maybe this is his way back in.

Sorry buddy, just thought I read that somewhere but it was probably a mis-read. Do you think anyone will be released in all this, or just Smith straight in as an addition to the squad?

I'm pretty sure releasing a playing doesn't free up their cap space. Maybe buderus back to oz might free up space if the knights sign him?

but I don't think this will happen, I only mention it as Newcastle have said they would like him back, bedsy has said he doesn't want to go until he's finished with Leeds
