I work for T-Mobile. They are simple devices. You can get pay as you go or contract. Though, at peak times (5pm – midnight) because of the amount of people with them you tend not to get the best speeds.

Basically the dongle uses the 3G network supported with HSDPA. Meaning you can get speed of over 3mb but usually you will get more like 1/2mb or less depending on the amount of people using at the same time.

They are dependant on the mobile phone network so as long as there is good coverage where you are when you use it, it should work pretty fast.

i use a 3 mobile dongle £15 a month for 5gb limit. Mainly use for business when i work away , but never been anywhere the limit

That's contract? You know much about PAYG? Sounds like they're worth having. Might get a T Mobby one.

Not got one but i thought the best deal was vodaphone ie buy your £10 and use as you like with no time limit (I think).

Nah the price work was a normal pay as you go. When you top up the money stays on the account until you use all the credit. So if you put £10 on and only use £8 then the remaining £2 will stay on the account until you spend it. I think if I remember right that TM have different offers, One is pay £2 for 30 days usage unlimited. That is just promotional one though to get you hooked. The price after that is £15 for 30 days I think off the top of my head bud.
