Pro edinburgh-- great tourist city to wander round etc etc plenty of bars etc etc.Because of this the 10-11K per day would be swallowed up in the crowd. Also bare/bear ? in mind that i saw many fans simply plan arrival to coincide with their own club match.
Didnt take that long to drive there.Believe it or not it is this side of the north pole/saturn/worlds end and life isnt threatened by travelling such gigantic distances (sic) as some would have us believe.
Cons-edinburgh--- stadium made odsal seem semi tropical/food n drink stations OUTSIDE the building...what is that about?usual rip off prices.....stewarding that allowed those paying lowest ticket prices to freely walk into dearest seats due to frozen/asleep stewards.
City BARS on sunday NOT allowed to have customers outside! i was told this wasnt an issue when the RU was in town, but the POLICE were scared of RL fans fighting?????????????????????? What the.....
YES its a bit of a walk from the city centre but so is elland road and we survive, but plenty of watering holes on the way in edinburgh to break the journey too,.Yes public transport was of debateable value, but see line above if able bodied. Also the streets are being dug up on a large scale and that undoubtedly affetced traffic/buses etc.'"
After having spent a weekend in Edinburgh recently, I know that trams will be running to Murrayfield next year from the centre, although I have to say, I quite enjoyed the walk, and like you said, there are plenty of watering holes on the way!
