You clearly need to learn lots more about women!
You have said yourself that the food at Mumtaz is good and it is relatively reasonable and it is a nice restaurant with a nice ambiance in a nice spot! The Sheesh is on Kirkstall Road opposite an 'entertainment' complex!
Anyway, it would appear that he has settled for the retaurant in the Alea which G1 has heard is very good and I trust him when it comes to retaurant reviews!
Akbars is also very good, so we agree on that.'"
Well,i know plenty about women ive had the present one for 13 years!!
As i said,it depends what you want.
If the woman is to be impressed by surroundings and food, then it s the Mumtaz, but there is no alcohol.
If you want really good food,in friendly surroundings and being able to drink then its the Sheesh for me,though not on a first date i have to add,as it is a curry house.
The sheesh did put the adjacent indian out of busines, and expanded into that.
It also put the one out of business that occupies the present "India" restaurant a few doors up,which in itself is struggling, even whilst people continue to queue for a table in the Sheesh
Those people who have maybe had a bad experience there are just as likely to have one at any Indian restaurant,it happens occasinally.
It has happened at the Sheesh, but they sorted pronto, thats all you want.
Akbars on Briggate is the best of the two in Leeds (the Leeds Bradford Road one is tops),but ive had problems there too,as well as the Aagrah.
Havent tried Alea yet.
