Just had a look on the Saint's website (the official one) and in a box on the right hand side of the home page there is a 'On This Day' tab. Clicking on it, you see a list of events. Birthdays, Last matches and ironically, one labelled 'Signed On'. What struck me though is that the list for this section only contains two names.

I would assume it is the day the players actually joined the club, opposed to some Merseyside / Scouse / Unemployment reference (sadly)
