No that isn't right. You can play the same team in week 3 as you did in week 1.
In the above scenario Leeds could pick Saints or Hull KR. There is a possiblity that week 3 repeats the week 1 games. |

you wouldnt be able to bet on those predictions like that.
you would however be able to start with a small stake, and then back each team in sequence,
i.e
£5.00 on leeds to win - Returns £6.67
£6.67 on hudds to win returns - £20.00
£20.00 on .... and so forth.
whether you have the nerve to put the bigger returns on the later game however. |

Something that has been bugging me about the new playoff format is:
If Leeds Win against Hull KR, Hull KR then get a 2nd chance (which fair enough because they have earned it by finishing 4th)
If Hull KR then win there next game and come to face Leeds again and beat Leeds, Leeds are out, without any 2nd chance.
A bit offside imo.

I see your point, but, for the past two seasons, Leeds lost a playoff match but, making use of their second chance, went on to beat Saints in the final - for two years in a row Saints' first defeat in the playoffs has ended their interest in the competition.Slightly different I know as these were Grand Finals as opposed to eliminators, but same in that a team which had lost a play off team prevailed over a team that hadn't. Just the way it goes I guess.

I agree, I think you should throw the first game a claim your 2nd chance thus feeling like you've got value for your 1st place..  |

I think that might have been my fault as there was a rumour that was mentioned on Touchline (RIP) that this might be the case to stop 2 repeat games in week 3 and I did mention this in a post but it was indeed a load of rubbish! |
