I know this thread may seem a touch premature but last night i witnessed one of the single funniest things i have ever seen in my life on a rugby pitch.

Mr Ganson walking back across the pitch from the southstand in his Saints tie is nothing special, he got plenty of attention from the devoted as you would expect, however just as he stepped over the advertising haudings someone shouted "Ganson - I Hate you" louder than any other chant that night, Ganson looked round at this point.

Forgetting he was stepping over the barrier he put his foot down an got it stuck in the advert board making him trip forward and dragging the advert about 5 metres forward with him, all this whilst trying to look cool and not hit the deck. His face matched the colour of his tie and the phone went straight to his faceas if nothing had happened!

Well done to the band for spotting it and giving him a round of Steptoe and Son!

If this is the case how long until the saints fans call for a ban on the bloke who put the boards up?

Re your comment about the saints tie, I mentioned the very same thing when he was the video ref at last year's cup semi vs Saints when again he was the VR. Unfortunately, I was wrong as I believe you are.
The tie is in fact the officials superleague tie which just happens to be the same as Saints colours. Not sure what that should signify but I'm sure the conspiracy theorists will have a view on this.

Yeah, it makes me laugh when people actually think he's wearing a Saints tie. It's pretty embarrassing really. Every ref wears that tie yet Ganson's the only one who is mentioned for it. By the way, the RFL tracksuit is red and black and is made by Puma
