Speaking of commentators, what the hell is wrong with Stevo? On Boots 'n All he launched into a tirade about "thugby league" because of a couple of over the shoulder hits, then almost had a coronary during the Wakefielgame when Dimetriou "handed off" Wellens. Even the Saints fan working as video ref for the night didn't see anything wrong (despite not actually being asked to look at it by Mr Hallibut).
Here's the thing Mike, to lead with the elbow, you actually have to "lead" with the elbow - not the hand or forearm. And another thing Mike, you played RL during tthe 1970's and you played in the front row, which means you probably never tackled anyone below the adams apple in your entire career.
Time for him to step down before he actually croaks on air.

In fairness to Mr G, he made the right call. Something a bald dude in the commentary box nearly choked over. Stevo also went into a rant how Pryce had conned the ref at the the death, by "releasing" the ball, when every angle showed a perfectly obvious ball steel. I don't think he likes Leon particularly, he had a pop in Boots 'n All as well.

I find it very dissappointing that all Stevo seems to concentrate on are the negatives in a game. He's obsessed with balls being reefed out, forward passes, head high shots.

If the ref disallows a try for a forward pass - he then invariably says 'it deserved a try'.

I'm not condoning foul play but shouldn't they (the commentators) be trying to sell our game not highlighting all mistakes and poor play - and then showng them from 20 different angles to prove their point.

You didn't find the Aussie commentators dwelling on the negatives.
