Quote: Austin 3:16 "Got exactly what we deserved and late on in 2nd half they missed an absolute sitter, our only real chance was Becchio hitting the bar mid way through 2nd half, a lot of huffing and puffing but thats about it with no real end product. Kavanagh ran the game, which is worrying coz he must be about 50 by now.'"
Partly agree with that.
Becchio missed a very clear chance at 1-0 down - really should have scored. Robinson should have scored following up from Bechio's effort hitting the woodwork and the second half was all Leeds barring the breakaway sitter missed late on, with several blocked shots or attempts going narrowly wide/over.
Carlisle defended well, took their chances in the 1st half and probably deserved it. On the down side they seem to have become a pretty gobby cynical side - if in doubt bring him down, if the ref blows up then argue and whine for the next 5 minutes, if under pressure feign injury to break the momentum. Unsurprisingly Kavanagh was the prime culprit - which marred an otherwise excellent performance.
Graham bossed Michalik and Marquez.
