Confirmed that it'll be a silence. The right call for me. Applause can be Ok in some circumstances, but when someone passes away before 60 I think silence is much more appropriate. His family will be there and the tragedy for them merits silent reflection prior to applause.

Don't mind admitting i'm an armchair supporter now & respect those who go week in & week out, it takes a special talent to intice me to headingley nowadays, i'll be there friday, the most special talent of all has inticed me to observe that 1 minute in his memory, I would not miss it for the world.
